Company Profile Video Production Kuwait: Cost & Plan
Every few weeks a version of the same email lands in our inbox: "We need a company profile video." Usually it is for a tender submission, an exhibition stand, or a homepage that still has a stock photo where the founder's story should be. Company profile video production in Kuwait is one of the most requested things we do, and the service clients get quoted the widest price range for — anywhere from 400 KWD to 6,000 KWD for what sounds like the same brief. Here is what drives that gap, and how to plan the project properly.
How much does company profile video production in Kuwait cost?
Most company profile videos in Kuwait land between 900 and 3,500 KWD. Below that you are buying a single shoot day with a two-person crew; above it you are paying for cast, art direction, aerials and a motion graphics package. The number is driven almost entirely by shoot days, number of locations and how much of the film has to be built rather than filmed.
- 400–800 KWD — the one-day profile. One location (usually your own office or warehouse), two crew, a founder interview plus b-roll, 60–90 seconds finished. Realistic for a trading company, clinic or small contractor who needs something credible on the website this month.
- 900–2,000 KWD — the standard corporate profile. Two shoot days, three to four locations, proper lighting, gimbal work, scripted voiceover, licensed music, Arabic and English versions. Finished at 2–3 minutes with a 60-second social cutdown. Where most Kuwaiti SMEs should be.
- 2,500–6,000+ KWD — the flagship film. Three or more shoot days, cast talent, drone coverage, motion graphics, original score, full grade. Typically banks, energy contractors, developers and government-facing entities running the film for years.
Two line items surprise clients most. Drone coverage is not a small add-on here — permissions and a licensed operator realistically add 150–400 KWD. And professional Arabic voiceover talent runs 80–250 KWD, money worth spending; a weak VO undoes a good grade instantly. What should a company profile video actually include?
A company profile video should answer three questions in under two and a half minutes: what you do, who you do it for, and why you are the safe choice. Everything else is decoration. The structure below is the one we keep returning to because it survives a real client review round.
- 0:00–0:15 — the hook. Scale, a problem, or a number. Not a logo animation. Nobody has ever been convinced by a logo animation.
- 0:15–0:45 — what you actually do, in plain language, ideally shown rather than narrated.
- 0:45–1:30 — proof. Facilities, process, equipment, headcount, years in market, named clients if you have permission. This section wins tenders.
- 1:30–2:00 — differentiation. One or two things a competitor could not honestly claim.
- 2:00–2:20 — close and call to action, contact details on screen in Arabic and English.
What to cut: the four-minute chairman monologue, the org chart, the history section starting in 1978, and any sentence containing "leading provider of integrated solutions." Every company in Kuwait claims it, which is exactly why it communicates nothing.
Where the film gets used matters more than its length
Before we script anything we ask where the video will live, because that changes the edit list. A film on a muted screen at an exhibition stand in Mishref needs burned-in text and no reliance on VO. The same story on LinkedIn needs its hook in three seconds and a 9:16 crop. A tender version needs clean 16:9 with no music fighting the narration. One shoot, three deliverables — but only if you decide that before the camera comes out, the same logic behind turning one video shoot into a month of content.
Shooting a corporate profile video in Kuwait City: locations, permits and timing
Filming on your own premises — an office in Sharq or Mirqab, a showroom in Salmiya or Hawally, a warehouse in Shuwaikh or the Kuwait Free Trade Zone — needs only your facility manager's sign-off, and that covers roughly 70% of a typical profile film. Everything outside that boundary needs lead time.
- Public locations such as the Kuwait Towers area, the Gulf Road waterfront or Souq Mubarakiya require Kuwait Municipality permission, and commercial filming generally needs Ministry of Information clearance. Budget two to three weeks, not two to three days.
- Malls including The Avenues and 360 Mall run their own approval process, entirely separate from any government permit, and most restrict crews to before opening hours.
- Summer, May to September, effectively closes exteriors. At 48°C your usable window is roughly 5:00–8:00am or after 5:00pm, and talent and batteries both struggle. If Kuwait needs to look good outdoors, shoot October to April.
- The Friday–Saturday weekend is your friend for office interiors — an empty floor is far easier to light than a working Tuesday, though crew rates carry a weekend premium.
- Ramadan shortens working hours and pushes productive shoot windows to roughly 9:00pm–1:00am. Plan profile shoots well before or after.
If drone or public-space coverage is in your brief, read our breakdown of filming permits in Kuwait before locking a shoot date — permit timelines are the most common reason a corporate video slips a month.
Arabic and English: decide before you shoot, not in the edit
Kuwait buyers search in both languages. A procurement manager might search "company profile video production Kuwait" at work and فيديو تعريفي للشركة on their phone that evening. Your film has to serve both, and retrofitting a second language after the edit locks is where budgets quietly bleed.
Three decisions belong at script stage. Dub or subtitle: an Arabic interview subtitled in English almost always reads as more credible than a dubbed one, so pick the interview language by primary audience. Framing: leave clean margins for right-to-left lower thirds, or your Arabic titles will fight your composition. And record two separate voiceovers rather than translating one afterwards, because Arabic runs longer than English and will overrun your picture cut. Planned from the start, a second language version adds roughly 15–25% to the budget; bolted on later it can add 60%. Our guide to bilingual video content for Kuwait brands covers the workflow.
Company profile video FAQs for Kuwait businesses
How long does company profile video production in Kuwait take?
Plan for four to six weeks end to end: about one week for briefing and scripting, one for approvals and permits, one to three shoot days, then two to three weeks of editing including two revision rounds. Three-week turnarounds are possible when the script is signed off fast and no permits are needed. Revisions stretch timelines far more often than filming.
How long should our company profile video be?
Between 90 seconds and two and a half minutes for the main film. Past three minutes completion rates fall sharply and tender committees rarely reach the end. Commission the master at 2–3 minutes, then pull a 60-second website cut and a 20–30 second social version in the same edit session — far cheaper than coming back later.
Do we need a filming permit for a corporate video in Kuwait?
Not for filming inside your own premises with your own staff. You do need clearance for public spaces, government sites and most exterior commercial filming, typically through the Ministry of Information, with Kuwait Municipality permission for public locations. Drone flights require separate approval and a licensed operator. Allow two to three weeks for any of these.
How often should a company profile video be replaced?
Every two to three years, or sooner after a rebrand, a new facility, a leadership change or a shift in what you sell. A dated film is worse than none: on-screen offices, uniforms and vehicles quietly tell a prospect your information is old. Budget a refresh shoot rather than a rebuild — usually 40–60% of the original cost.
Getting your profile film made
The companies that get real value out of company profile video production in Kuwait treat it as a sales asset with a job to do, not a brand exercise. They know which meeting it opens, which tender it attaches to and which screen it plays on. That clarity, more than budget, separates a film that gets used from one that sits on a drive.
